Creating the Best Class Schedule Ever!
BYU course registration is right around the corner and with it comes the stress of getting your class schedule organized! You don't have to wait up until midnight to get into your favorite courses though, and with some preparation, you can get the class schedule you've been dreaming of!
First, you need to pick out your classes
I suggest that if this is your first semester of college, or your first semester back after a break, you take under 14 credits. More than that is going to be difficult to keep up with and increase your stress level. If you have to take more than 14 credits, you can read about ways to manage your stress here.
Those 14 credits shouldn't all be intense coursework either, mix in a fun course as well as a course that helps you stay active! Some fun courses to take at BYU are as follows:

- MUSIC 113 & 114R - Beginning Piano Techniques for non-Music Majors 1 & 2
- MUSIC 117 & 118R - Basic Guitar for non-Music Majors 1 & 2
- MUSIC 111R - Vocal Lessons for non-Music Majors
- SWELL 175 - Scuba Diving
- SWELL 150 - Ice Skating
- DANCE 181 - Country Swing Dancing (make sure you sign up for the right gender specific section)
- ART 105 - Ceramics for non-Art Majors
- ART 120 - Watercolor for non-Art Majors
- ENGL 490R - Creative Writing with Brandon Sanderson (Winter only)
- ENT 101 - Intro to Entrepreneurship
- SWELL 191 - Weight Lifting
- SWELL 107 - Pilates
- SWELL 109 - Yoga
- SWELL 181 & 182 - Tennis (beginning and intermediate)
- SWELL 156 & 157 - Soccer (beginning and intermediate)
- SWELL 139 - Running
